Adult Ministries
Our Adult Ministries focus on growing adults (young adults through senior saints) to a mature faith in Jesus Christ. Ministries are targeted to reach specific populations, including: young adults, women, men, singles, and widows. It also includes groups, courses, and self-study options.
Description: Plan and execute ladies ministry events (currently two events per year).
Commitment: Monthly meetings; available to serve at both events.
Skills needed: Active spiritual life, enjoys fellowship with other women, good organizational skills, hospitality, work well as a team.
Description: Plan and execute men’s ministry events (currently five events per year: Steel on Steel in October; three prayer breakfasts; and summertime Firepit Fellowships). Follow up with attenders to get them connected.
Commitment: Monthly meetings, third Thursday of the month.
Skills needed: Active spiritual life, desire to see men connected and discipled, good organizational skills.
Description: The Men’s and Women’s Conference Teams put together an annual conference. They coordinate the speaker, promotion, and details of the conference.
Commitment: Varies.
Skills needed: Detail oriented, works well in a team.
Description: This is a great position for people looking to help out on an occasional basis: commit to an event that works with your schedule. Assist with setup and cleanup, or with other duties such as cooking, decorating, greeting, or hosting for the event.
Commitment: Flexible.
Skills needed: Willingness to serve.
Description: Provide the setting for a weekly or biweekly small group.
Commitment: Weekly or biweekly for the duration of the session (groups range from three to twelve months).
Skills needed: Hospitable, ability to welcome and care for group members who attend.
Description: Lead a small group to foster deeper connection for spiritual growth, care, serving together, and reaching out. Keeps a small church feel inside a growing church. Guides group through a series of provided discussion questions.
Commitment: Weekly or biweekly for the duration of the session (groups range from three to twelve months).
Skills needed: Previous experience leading a group or teaching. Ability to communicate effective lessons in a dynamic, engaging, and theologically accurate manner. Must have a shepherd’s heart and bring group members into the discussions.
Description: Teaches for various adult ministries – courses (usually 4–8 week commitment), or men’s or women’s ministries (three month commitment). Materials provided as needed.
Commitment: Weekly for the duration of the session.
Skills needed: Ability to communicate effective lessons in a dynamic, engaging, and theologically accurate manner.
Description: Intentionally promote ministries via word of mouth to your social spheres of influence.
Commitment: No special time requirement.
Skills needed: Friendly, desire to connect people to events that would be a good fit.
